Bible-Based Curriculum
Our curriculum is completely Bible-based in its core, but also prepares students for tomorrow’s world while instructing them in timeless Biblical values that will last a lifetime. We believe the reverence of God’s Word is the beginning of wisdom.
Christ-Centered Character
Of course we want to see our students excel academically, but we will always value Christ-centered character above academic achievements. All children will learn, but in addition to learning, we desire to see our students glorify God, honor their parents, and love their neighbor.
Discipleship Driven
Although we are a school, we consider the opportunity we have more as discipleship than mere academic development. School work is important but nothing is more important than a student’s soul.
Devotions, Discussion and Prayer
A student’s experience at LCA will consist of regular devotions, Bible discussions, and prayer.
Chapel
Every week our entire school gathers for Chapel. Chapel is a time for the entire student body, staff, and even parents and grandparents to learn from God’s Word in a corporate setting. Chapel is never boring. This time is not only informative, but inspiring! Chapel often full of practical and fun object lessons and illustrations.
SUPERIOR ACADEMICS
Academic Diagnostic Testing
Since age does not always determine academic level, we test every student in all core subjects to identify their academic strengths and weaknesses. Without pinpointing a student’s true academic placement a child can often end up with work that (buries them) because it’s too hard or (bores them) because it’s too easy. At LCA, each student receives a personalized academic diagnosis and is given curriculum designed specifically for them. This ensures that each student is always learning no matter what academic level them begin at.
Individualized and Self Paced
God has made every child uniquely different. Not every child learns the same way or at the same pace, At LCA we provide an individualized approach to education so that each student is free to learn at their own pace. If the student is behind academically, they get the help they need. If the student is advanced, they can continue forward without being held back.
Focused Learning Environment
Just because a student is in a classroom doesn’t mean they are learning. Each of our Learning Centers are quiet, clean, and conducive to productive and focused learning. Each student at LCA has their very own work space with comfortable chairs. We teach every student to set daily academic goals and our staff helps, and holds them accountable to reach those goals.
No Advancement Without Learning
Our academic program is mastery-based. This means that we do not advance a child academically unless they have mastered or actually learned the material taught.
One on One Tutoring
We have on staff tutors available to help students who need additional, or even extensive help in Math and English.
SUPPLEMENTAL ENRICHMENT
Field Trips
Whether it is an educational field trip or one to just go have tons of fun together, we love to go on field trips! Every year our students have the opportunity to take many field trips all throughout the year. We always encourage our parents to come along with us.
Athletics
We currently offer Boys Basketball and Girls Volleyball for grades 6th-12th. We look forward to adding other competitive sports soon. In addition to these two sports, our students have an opportunity to compete regionally in many other athletic events such as track & field, tennis, physical fitness, archery, table tennis, and more. We also offer P.E. Tuesdays and Thursdays
Student Conventions
Another unique aspect of LCA is our yearly participation in Regional and International Student Conventions. Through participating in these Conventions our student have the opportunity to develop their God-given gifts and talents as they can compete in a variety of events such as academics, arts, platform, sports, and more. In addition to the opportunity to compete with other students from around their region and the world, students will also hear Christ-centered messages from world-class speakers. Student Conventions provide students with a unique experience that produces a life long impact.
Enrichment Courses
One distinctive about our school is the many different enrichment programs we offer during the school day. Some of the courses we offer are: archery, drones, rc cars, gung fu, dance, art, piano, voice, guitar, drama, golf, and more. New enrichment opportunities are available every year.
Community Service
We encourage our students to serve their community by helping others. Every year our students have the opportunity to be involved in various service projects where they make an impact beyond the classroom.
