How We Started

Lighthouse Christian Academy began when a group of parents, concerned with how far the government schools have strayed from Christian principles, decided to join forces. They dared to trust God for a school that was distinctively Christian, academically excellent, individualized, and mastery based.  LCA began in the fall of 2010 God has continued to grow our school and greatly impact our community through Christian Education.
Our Vision

Our vision is to serve as an extension of the Bible-believing Christian home, by working harmoniously with parents to achieve God’s purpose for their children. Our desire is to grow children in the grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ in such a way that they would want to live for Him. Our aim is to develop a caring, challenging, and character based academic environment where students can thrive and confidently develop the talents and abilities with which God has given them.

Character Development

Our purpose in providing Christian education goes beyond simply helping students learn the academics required to enter college or get a good job.  We desire to build within students a life-long burning passion to learn and grow spiritually.  It is one thing to want children to be successful, quite another to provide the academic and character training to ensure this accomplishment. Godly character training  is a foundational part of the LCA learning experience, and it prepares students to welcome and accept challenges and future opportunities.  Sixty character traits, such as kindness, loyalty, and honesty, are taught within the curriculum.  Students are taught to apply the Godly character they are taught in their everyday lives.
